Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough stretching across the Pilbara to the Interior will linger for the next
few days. The trough will reach the Gascoyne coast on Tuesday before sweeping
towards the east during Wednesday and Thursday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front has moved east into the Bight, with a ridge extending over
southern and central WA. The ridge will slowly move east with the next cold
front approaching the southwest from Wednesday night.
Forecast for the rest of Sunday 11 October
Isolated light showers about the Central West and south coasts. The chance of
showers and thunderstorms for the eastern Kimberley and central and eastern
Interior. Unseasonally cool temperatures across southwest WA. Windy over the
inland Pilbara, Eucla and Interior.
Forecast for Monday 12 October
Showers and thunderstorms over eastern parts of the Kimberley and Interior and
the northern Eucla. Showers for the northern and eastern Goldfields. Possible
morning frost for the Great Southern and adjacent parts of the South West and
South Coastal districts. Cool conditions persisting for far southern and
southeast WA. Windy over central parts of the state.
Forecast for Tuesday 13 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Interior, eastern Kimberley, southeast
Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and far northern Eucla. Light showers about the
Eucla coast. Warmer conditions near the west coast. Windy over central parts of
the state.
Forecast for Wednesday 14 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Interior and central and eastern Kimberley.
Warm conditions near the west coast. Showers developing southwest of a line
Lancelin to Albany in the evening. Possible morning fog over the western
Pilbara and northwest Gascoyne. Windy across much of the state.
Forecast for Thursday 15 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms across much of the South West Land Division,
the southern and central Goldfields, Eucla, eastern Interior and central and
eastern Kimberley. Chance of a shower for the southwest Gascoyne. Possible
morning fog across the western and central Pilbara. Windy over eastern parts of
the state.
