Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure extends across the north. A ridge developing
through central Australia will push the trough closer to the Kimberley and
Pilbara coasts during today. The trough will move back inland from late
Wednesday as a new trough develops over western Pilbara.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough near the west coast has moved inland and will continue to move east on
Wednesday, ahead of an approaching cold front. A series of cold fronts will
then cross southwest WA from Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 6 October
Showers and possible gusty thunderstorms over the southern Gascoyne, southwest
Goldfields, northern and eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers
and the chance of a thunderstorm over the northern Kimberley. Windy at times
over western Gascoyne.

Forecast for Wednesday 7 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the eastern parts of the South West
Land Division, southern and central Goldfields, Eucla and South Interior. Sight
chance of a shower about the west coast, showers becoming frequent south of a
line Harvey to Albany in the late afternoon and evening. Afternoon showers the
Kimberley, apart from the south. Windy at times over northern Gascoyne.

Forecast for Thursday 8 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the southern Gascoyne, eastern parts of
the South West Land Division, southern and central Goldfields, Eucla, and South
Interior. Showers over the remainder of the South West Land Division, remainder
of the southern and western Gascoyne. Afternoon showers and chance of a
thunderstorm over the northern and eastern Kimberley. Windy at times over the
southern, central and northwest WA.

Forecast for Friday 9 October
Showers and possible thunderstorms over the Eucla, eastern and central
Interior. Afternoon showers over the northern and eastern Kimberley. Light
showers over the South West Land Division, mainly near the west and south
coasts.

Forecast for Saturday 10 October
Showers over the South West Land Division, mainly southwest of Perth to Albany.
Chance of an afternoon shower over the northern Kimberley.
