Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough extends from the west Kimberley coast into the Interior. Another
trough will become established across southwest Pilbara by the weekend, moving
inland following the arrival of a ridge later Monday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough over the Interior will move westwards with a low pressure system
forming over inland Gascoyne on Friday. The trough and low pressure system will
move west or southwest across the South West Land Division on the weekend.
Meanwhile, a cold front will brush past the southern districts on Friday,
followed by a strong high pressure system developing south of the Bight on
Saturday. As the high moves east on Monday, the low pressure system will slip
into the Bight, with the trough moving inland again ahead of the next cold
front arriving on Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 24 September
Light showers south of a line from Mandurah to Katanning to Hopetoun. Showers
and gusty thunderstorms across Eucla, southern and western Interior, eastern
and northern Goldfields, northeast Gascoyne and southeast Pilbara. Chance of an
afternoon shower in coastal parts of the Kimberley, clearing in the evening.

Forecast for Friday 25 September
Showers and gusty thunderstorms across the eastern parts of Central Wheat Belt,
eastern parts of South East Coastal, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla,
southeast Pilbara and South Interior. Showers over remaining southern and
central parts of the South West Land Division. Possible heavy falls in the
southern Goldfields and adjacent inland Eucla. Chance of an afternoon shower in
coastal Kimberley. Possible morning fog about the west Kimberley coast. Windy
in the afternoon and evening across southern and central parts of the South
West Land Division.

Forecast for Saturday 26 September
Rain areas, showers and thunderstorms over much of the South West Land
Division, eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, southern and central Interior,
and inland Pilbara. Isolated heavy falls possible over southern parts of the
South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and Eucla. Chance of an afternoon
shower about coastal Kimberley. Windy across the Interior and southern WA.

Forecast for Sunday 27 September
Rain areas, showers and thunderstorms over much of the South West Land
Division, Goldfields, Eucla, southern and central Interior, inland Gascoyne and
inland Pilbara. Chance of an afternoon shower about coastal Kimberley. Windy
about the south coast.

Forecast for Monday 28 September
Rain areas, showers and thunderstorms over eastern and southern parts of the
South West Land Division, Goldfields, Eucla, South Interior, and eastern
Gascoyne. Showers over remaining parts of the South West Land Division and
remaining parts of Gascoyne. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over southern
and inland Pilbara and coastal Kimberley.
