Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the west Kimberley coast into western parts of the
Interior. A trough will pass south of the Pilbara on Thursday and Friday with a
ridge strengthening into western parts of the region during the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A slow-moving trough will linger from the eastern Gascoyne into the Goldfields,
Eucla and adjacent Interior during the next few days. A cold front will brush
the southwest corner of the State on Thursday, followed by a high pressure
system moving through the Southern Ocean. A low pressure system will develop
over southern WA later Friday or on Saturday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 23 September
Showers and gusty thunderstorms across the Eucla, South Interior, far southern
and far eastern South West Land Division, Goldfields, east Gascoyne, and
adjacent southeastern Pilbara. Possible heavy falls and large hail about the
Goldfields, west Eucla, and the far eastern South East Coastal district.
Showers over remaining southern parts of the South West Land Division. Chance
of an afternoon shower near the north and west Kimberley coast.

Forecast for Thursday 24 September
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers and gusty
thunderstorms across the Eucla, south and west Interior, northern Goldfields,
eastern Gascoyne and adjacent southeastern Pilbara. Chance of an afternoon
shower in coastal parts of the Kimberley. Possible morning fog about the
Kimberley coast and over inland western and southern parts of the South West
Land Division.

Forecast for Friday 25 September
Showers and gusty thunderstorms across the eastern South West Land Division,
eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla and South Interior. Possible heavy falls in
the Goldfields. Showers over remaining central, western, and southern parts of
the South West Land Division. Chance of an afternoon shower in coastal parts of
the Kimberley. Possible morning fog about the west Kimberley coast. Windy
afternoon in the inland South West Land Division.

Forecast for Saturday 26 September
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the eastern South West Land Division,
eastern Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, south and central Interior, and adjacent
far east Pilbara. Showers over remaining parts of the South West Land Division.
Possible heavy falls over south coastal districts. Chance of an afternoon
shower about the coastal Kimberley. Windy morning over the east Interior.

Forecast for Sunday 27 September
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the eastern and far southern South West
Land Division, Goldfields, Eucla, south and central Interior, and eastern
Gascoyne. Showers over remaining parts of the South West Land Division. Chance
of an afternoon shower about the coastal Kimberley. Windy afternoon in the
inland Pilbara.
