Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough across the Kimberley and Interior will move closer to the Pilbara
and Kimberley west coasts on Monday as a ridge develops through central
Australia. The ridge will confine the trough near to the coasts through to
midweek.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak front will move to the east on Sunday night along the southwest coast
and dissipate on Monday. A trough over the Goldfields and Interior will move
west across the South West Land Division and Gascoyne on Monday as a high
strengthens in the Bight, reaching the west coast on Tuesday. The trough will
move back inland later Thursday ahead of another cold front.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 13 September
Light showers southwest of Perth to Bremer Bay. Chance of a shower or gusty
thunderstorm over the South Interior. Isolated afternoon showers over the north
Kimberley, clearing in the evening.

Forecast for Monday 14 September
Light showers or drizzle over southern districts of the South West Land
Division. Showers and the chance of thunderstorms over the South Interior,
Eucla, Goldfields, southeast Gascoyne, and northeastern parts of the Central
Wheat Belt. Isolated heavy falls possible over eastern Goldfields and South
Interior. An afternoon shower possible over the north and northwest Kimberley.
Morning fog possible over inland parts of the South West Land Division, and
north and west Kimberley.

Forecast for Tuesday 15 September
Showers and the chance of thunderstorms over northern and eastern parts of the
South West Land Division, Goldfields, central and southern Interior, inland
Gascoyne, and southeast Pilbara. Possible heavy falls through the South
Interior. An afternoon shower possible over north and northwest Kimberley.
Morning fog possible northwest Kimberley. Windy across much of the state.

Forecast for Wednesday 16 September
Showers and the chance of thunderstorms over northern and central Goldfields,
western parts of South Interior, inland Gascoyne and western Pilbara. Light
showers possible over western and northern parts of the South West Land
Division. An afternoon shower over the north and west Kimberley. Morning fog
possible about coastal Gascoyne and northwest Kimberley. Windy across much of
the state.

Forecast for Thursday 17 September
Light showers possible over western Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, South West Land
Division and southwest Goldfields. An afternoon shower over the north
Kimberley. Morning fog possible about coastal areas of the Gascoyne and
northern parts of Central West. Windy across much of the state.
