Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extending from inland Pilbara to the North Interior has become slow
moving. A ridge developing through central Australia from Wednesday will push
the trough closer to the Kimberley and Pilbara west coasts on Thursday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough and associated low pressure system moving east across the Goldfields
on Sunday will become slow moving in the Interior on Monday, before weakening
later Wednesday. A strong high in the Bight is directing a southeasterly flow
over the remainder of southern and western WA. Winds turning warmer
northeasterly across the South West Land Division from Thursday as a west coast
trough develops and the high moves away.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 6 September
Showers and areas of rain with chance of gusty thunderstorms over eastern parts
of Central Wheat Belt, southeast Gascoyne, Goldfields, South Interior and
inland Eucla. Heavy falls possible over northern Goldfields, adjacent southeast
Gascoyne and adjacent South Interior. Showers over the remainder of the South
West Land Division, western and northern Gascoyne and southern Eucla. Chance of
an afternoon shower about the north Kimberley coast. Windy at times across much
of the state.

Forecast for Monday 7 September
Showers and areas of rain with chance of gusty thunderstorms over Goldfields,
southern and central Interior and Eucla. Heavy falls possible over the eastern
Goldfields, South Interior and inland Eucla. Showers or drizzle over the Great
Southern, southern parts of Central Wheat Belt, South Coastal, South East
Coastal and eastern Gascoyne. Chance of an afternoon shower about the north
Kimberley coast. Possible morning fog over northwest Kimberley. Windy across
much of the state.

Forecast for Tuesday 8 September
Showers and areas of rain with chance of gusty thunderstorms over Goldfields,
Interior and Eucla. Heavy falls possible over the eastern Goldfields, South
Interior and inland Eucla. Showers and drizzle over the Great Southern,
southern parts of Central Wheat Belt, South Coastal, South East Coastal and
eastern Gascoyne. Chance of an afternoon or evening shower over eastern
Kimberley. Windy across central and southern parts of the state.

Forecast for Wednesday 9 September
Showers and chance of thunderstorms over Goldfields, adjacent inland Gascoyne,
Interior and southeast Kimberley. Showers over Eucla, South East Coastal and
South Coastal. Chance of an afternoon shower over north and northeast
Kimberley. Windy over central and southern parts.

Forecast for Thursday 10 September
Showers and chance of thunderstorms over Goldfields, adjacent inland Gascoyne,
Interior, inland Eucla, eastern Pilbara and eastern Kimberley. Showers over
Eucla. Windy over eastern parts of the state.
