Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge will remain over central Australia until early next week, directing an
easterly flow across the eastern parts. Meanwhile, a slow moving trough extends
from the west Kimberley into the Pilbara. Associated patchy cloud band will
contract to the Pilbara and central Interior tonight before clearing on Sunday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough extending from the Gascoyne, across Goldfields to Eucla will move
westwards on Saturday as an easterly flow develops due to a high pressure
system establishing in the Bight. Associated cloud band will linger across
inland southern WA through the weekend. Winds turning warmer northeasterly on
Sunday as the trough nears the west coast. A cold front will move through the
southwest of the state during Monday, pushing the west coast trough inland
again.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 28 August
Showers with the chance of thunderstorms over eastern parts of the Central
Wheat Belt, far southern Gascoyne, Goldfields, South Interior and Eucla. Light
showers and drizzle possible over remaining central and eastern parts of the
South West Land Division and southern Gascoyne. Chance of a shower over
southwest Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and North Interior.

Forecast for Saturday 29 August
Showers with the chance of thunderstorms over eastern parts of Central Wheat
Belt, southeast Gascoyne, Goldfields, South Interior, Eucla and South East
Coastal district. Light showers over remaining parts of the South West Land
Division, remaining eastern and southwest Gascoyne, eastern Pilbara and far
southwestern parts of North Interior. Possible morning fog over northwest
Kimberley.

Forecast for Sunday 30 August
Showers with the chance of thunderstorms over far northeast Central Wheat Belt,
southeast Gascoyne, Goldfields and adjacent South Interior. Chance of light
showers over remaining parts of the South West Land Division, inland Gascoyne,
western Pilbara. Possible morning fog over southern parts of the South West
Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 31 August
Showers developing over western and southern parts of the South West Land
Division. Possible morning fog over western parts of the South West Land
Division and northern Kimberley.

Forecast for Tuesday 1 September
Showers over the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and Eucla.
Possible morning fog over northern parts of the South West Land Division and
northwest Kimberley.
