Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough lies over the Kimberley and Pilbara with another trough branch
extending into the Interior associated with a cloud band. A ridge over southern
and central Australia will maintain an easterly flow over the north this
weekend. The ridge will move east on Monday as a cold front crosses southern WA.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A broad ridge of high pressure over southern WA will slowly move east this
weekend. A cloud band over the Interior will contract east of the state by
Sunday. A cold front will move over the South West Land Division on Monday
followed by a weak ridge which will extend over central parts of the state.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 15 August
Showers and the chance of a thunderstorm over eastern parts of the Interior.
Chance of a shower over the central Kimberley and eastern Eucla.

Forecast for Sunday 16 August
Possible morning fog over the northwest Kimberley and the Eucla district.
Chance of a shower over far eastern parts of the South Interior and Eucla.

Forecast for Monday 17 August
Showers over the South West Land Division, western and southern Gascoyne,
southern Goldfields and western Eucla. Chance of a shower over the far western
Pilbara. Chance of a thunderstorm about the Lower West coast and western parts
of the South West district. Possible morning fog over the northwest Kimberley.
Windy over the South West Land Division, southern Gascoyne and Goldfields.

Forecast for Tuesday 18 August
Showers over western and southern parts of the South West Land Division, the
Eucla and southern Goldfields. Chance of a shower over the southern Pilbara and
far northern Gascoyne. Possible morning fog over the northwest Kimberley and
inland western parts of the Gascoyne and South West Land Division. Morning
frost also possible across the Central Wheat Belt, Great Southern and inland
parts of the South West and Lower West districts.

Forecast for Wednesday 19 August
Showers over western and southern parts of the South West Land Division and the
Gascoyne, with the chance of a shower extending to inland parts of the South
West Land Division, the northern Goldfields and western Interior. Morning frost
possible across the Central Wheat Belt, southern Goldfields and inland parts of
the South East Coastal district.
