Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A cooler drier southeasterly surge extends across the Pilbara, North Interior
and southern Kimberley. An easterly flow will return from later Thursday as a
ridge over southern WA expands into central Australia.
Meanwhile, a weak trough over northern Kimberley will extend to the Pilbara
from Thursday night as a patchy cloud band develops.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A broad ridge of high pressure over southern WA will dominate the weather
pattern for the remainder of the week. A cloud band will develop through the
Interior from Thursday night.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 12 August
Light showers about the south coast. Windy across the southern Kimberley,
Pilbara, northern Interior and northern Gascoyne, easing in the late afternoon.

Forecast for Thursday 13 August
Chance of a light shower or drizzle over the Eucla, far eastern Goldfields,
southern South Interior and remainder of the south coast. Areas of morning
frost over inland parts of the South West Land Division, southern and western
Goldfields, and southern Gascoyne. Areas of morning fog over inland parts of
the South West Land Division, far southern Goldfields, northwest Kimberley and
Eucla. Windy in the morning across southern Kimberley, North Interior and
eastern Pilbara.

Forecast for Friday 14 August
Showers with chance of a thunderstorm over the Interior and southwest
Kimberley. Chance of a shower or drizzle over the southern and eastern
Goldfields, Eucla and South East Coastal district. Areas of morning frost over
inland parts of the South West Land Division, Areas of morning fog over inland
parts of the South West Land Division, Eucla and northwest Kimberley. Windy
across North Interior in the morning.

Forecast for Saturday 15 August
Showers and areas of rain over Eucla, Interior and western Kimberley. Chance of
morning frost over the Central Wheat Belt, far southern parts of the
Goldfields, Great Southern and inland parts of South East Coastal districts.
Possible morning fog over the northwest Kimberley, Eucla and eastern parts of
South East Coastal district.

Forecast for Sunday 16 August
Light shower over southern Kimberley and northeast Interior, clearing in the
morning.
