Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over the area today. A new ridge develops to the south from
Tuesday pushing the trough into the north Kimberley, with a renewed easterly
surge returning to the remainder of the region.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front moving over the South West Land Division today and along the
central south coast and Eucla coast on Tuesday. Another ridge will develop over
the south of the state in the wake of the cold front on Tuesday and Wednesday
and dominate the weather pattern until the end of the week.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 10 August
Showers over the South West Land Division, and extending into the southern and
western Gascoyne, southern and western Goldfields and Eucla this afternoon and
evening. Chance of thunderstorms over most of the South West Land Division and
far southwest Goldfields. Possible small hail over southwestern parts of the
South West Land Division. Snow flurries possible about higher peaks of the
Stirling Ranges in the evening.

Forecast for Tuesday 11 August
Light showers or drizzle about the west coast south of Shark Bay, southern
parts of the South West Land Division, Eucla, southern and eastern Goldfields
and southern South Interior, more frequent about the south coast. Showers
contracting to southern coastal parts east of Esperance by evening. Possible
small hail about coastal parts of the South East Coastal district and over the
Eucla. Snow flurries possible about higher peaks of the Stirling Ranges in the
early morning. Areas of morning frost through inland parts of the South West
Land Division, Goldfields, and southern Gascoyne. Possible morning fog in the
far north Kimberley and western parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Wednesday 12 August
Light showers about the south coast east of Esperance. Areas of morning frost
through inland parts of the South West Land Division, Goldfields, southern and
eastern Gascoyne, far southeast Pilbara, South Interior, and inland Eucla.
Possible morning fog in the far north Kimberley and inland western and central
parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Thursday 13 August
Chance of a light shower along the coastal and inland eastern Eucla. Areas of
morning frost and possible fog over inland parts of the South West Land
Division, Goldfields, southern Gascoyne, and inland Eucla.

Forecast for Friday 14 August
Showers possible over the Eucla and South Interior. Areas of morning frost and
possible fog over inland parts of the South West Land Division, far southern
Goldfields, and Eucla.
