Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge to the south is bringing a moderate to fresh easterly flow to the
region. The ridge will be pushed northward on Thursday and weakens from Friday
as a cold front moves over the south of the state.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies over southern parts of the state and will be pushed northwards as
a cold front moves over the southwest of the state on Thursday and Friday. A
second cold front will follow later Friday and into Saturday. A weak ridge will
push over the central west coast on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 14 July
Mostly clear over the state.
Forecast for Wednesday 15 July
Mostly sunny. Windy morning over the northern parts of the state.
Forecast for Thursday 16 July
Showers southwest of Perth to Katanning to Bremer Bay during the morning
extending to southwest of Kalbarri to Esperance by late evening. Chance of
gusty thunderstorms developing southwest of Geraldton to Northam to Walpole,
heavy falls possible about west coastal parts.
Forecast for Friday 17 July
Showers southwest of Carnarvon to Israelite Bay. Chance of gusty thunderstorms
near the west coast south of Denham, moderate to heavy falls possible about
western parts from Geraldton to Lancelin. Becoming windy about the west coast
later.
Forecast for Saturday 18 July
Showers southwest of Coral Bay to Eyre. Chance of thunderstorms about the south
coastal fringe between Cape Naturaliste and Walpole. Windy over southern
districts, easing later in the day.
