Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough extends along the Kimberley coast and through to the west Pilbara
whilst a ridge to the south directs east to southeasterly winds over much of
the north.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak ridge lies over southern parts of the state, moving east ahead of a weak
cold front brushing the south coast later Thursday and Friday. A new ridge
develops along the south coast on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 8 July
Chance of a light shower southwest of a line from about Bunbury to Albany.
Forecast for Thursday 9 July
Showers southwest of a line from Mandurah to Albany, extending to southwest of
a line Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay during the afternoon and evening. Patchy
morning fog over the southwest parts of the South West Land Division, eastern
Eucla, southeast Interior, western Pilbara, and northwest Gascoyne.
Forecast for Friday 10 July
Showers over western and southern parts of the South West Land Division, with a
chance of a shower over remaining central parts of the South West Land
Division, southwestern Gascoyne, southern Goldfields and western coastal Eucla.
Patchy morning fog in the west Pilbara, west Gascoyne and northern, western and
central South West Land Division.
Forecast for Saturday 11 July
Showers over southern districts, mostly clearing by evening. Patchy morning fog
over western and northern parts of the South West Land Division and southern
and central Goldfields.
Forecast for Sunday 12 July
Showers over southern coastal parts. Patchy morning fog over southern and
eastern parts of the South West Land Division, southern and central Goldfields,
Eucla and southern South Interior.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 1:45 am WST Thursday.
