Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge over northern Australia maintains cooler east to southeasterly winds
across the northern districts. The ridge is expected to slowly weaken this
week. Meanwhile, a patchy cloud band brings light showers to western Pilbara
today, clearing on Tuesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge over southeastern WA is moving away. A cloud band
extending across western and southern WA will contract east on Tuesday. A
trough moving across the South West Land Division will stall over the
Goldfields and Esperance regions on Tuesday, then dissipate on Wednesday. A new
ridge will develop over southwest WA later today and contract east on Thursday,
ahead of a significant cold front arriving on the west coast on Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 22 June
Showers south of a line from Gingin to Eyre. Chance of a light shower over the
remainder of the South West Land Division, northern Goldfields, Gascoyne,
western Pilbara and central Interior.

Forecast for Tuesday 23 June
Showers over southern Goldfields, Eucla and South East Coastal district. Chance
of morning light shower or drizzle over remainder of southern and eastern parts
of the South West Land Division, eastern Gascoyne, northern Goldfields, eastern
and southern Pilbara, and western and southern Interior. Morning fog possible
over inland parts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Wednesday 24 June
Showers over southern Goldfields, Eucla, eastern parts of South East Coastal
district and far southern parts of South Interior, more frequent about the
Eucla coast, easing in the afternoon. Areas of morning fog over inland parts of
the South West Land Division, southern Goldfields, western Eucla and southern
parts of South Interior.

Forecast for Thursday 25 June
Showers over eastern Eucla, clearing in the morning. Showers developing west of
a line Busselton to Windy Harbour in the evening. Areas of morning fog over
South East Coastal district, southern Goldfields, Eucla and southern parts of
South Interior. Becoming windy about the southwest coast.

Forecast for Friday 26 June
Rain and showers over the South West Land Division, western and southern
Gascoyne, Goldfields, western Eucla and far western Pilbara. Gusty
thunderstorms along the west and southwest coasts of the South West Land
Division. Windy across the western Gascoyne and Southern Land Division, very
windy about the southwest coast.
