Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough over the northern Kimberley will move out of the region by Friday. A
cooler and drier southeast surge will extend across the north following the
trough. Associated patchy cloud band across the Kimberley and northern Interior
will slowly contract east by Friday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge is extending over southwest WA and is directing a cool to cold air
flow. A high pressure system will move over southern WA on Friday and will
bring settled conditions, ahead of the next cold front on Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 18 June
Showers and drizzle over southern parts of the South West Land Division,
southern Goldfields, Eucla and southern Interior, more frequent about the south
coast. Chance of a shower over the northern and eastern Kimberley, clearing by
the evening.
Forecast for Friday 19 June
Light showers and drizzle over southern parts of the South West Land Division,
southern Goldfields, Eucla, and southern Interior, more frequent about the
south coast. Chance of morning fog and frost through the eastern Central West.
Central Wheat Belt, northwest Great Southern, northern Lower West and southeast
Gascoyne.
Forecast for Saturday 20 June
Chance of a shower or drizzle about the south coast, eastern Goldfields, Eucla,
and southern Interior. Showers developing in the evening about the South West
Capes. Morning fog possible over the South Coastal districts, far southern
Goldfields and northwest Eucla. Early frost possible over the eastern Central
Wheat Belt and adjacent Goldfields.
Forecast for Sunday 21 June
Showers southwest of a line from Lancelin to Hopetoun with a chance of a shower
over the remaining South West Land Division and western Gascoyne. Possible
morning fog over the southwest Central Wheat Belt and northwest Great Southern
districts.
Forecast for Monday 22 June
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division. Chance of a shower
over the remainder of the South West Land Division, Goldfields, western Eucla
and southern Gascoyne.
