Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge extends into the Kimberley and will persist over the next few days as a
weak trough lies over the western part of the Pilbara. The trough will progress
further east into the Pilbara today as a new ridge develops over the western
part of the region. A trough will bring a cloud band to the West Pilbara on
Thursday before weakening and moving east on Friday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A cold front is weakening across the north and east early this morning. A
further cold front is brushing the south coast of the state during this
morning. A ridge will establish itself later today and through Wednesday. An
approaching cold front and trough on Thursday will produce a cloud band over
northern parts of the South West Land Division, Gascoyne and northern
Goldfields. The cloud band will weaken and move into southeast parts of the
state on Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 9 June
Apart from the Kimberley and Northern Interior, showers possible over the
remainder of the state. Possible thunderstorms over eastern Eucla. Windy across
southern and central parts of the state.

Forecast for Wednesday 10 June
Showers near the west and south coasts, east Pilbara and parts of the Interior.
Chance of a shower along the west Pilbara and Gascoyne coasts. Possible morning
fog over the southwest Kimberley and inland western parts of the South West
Land Division. Early morning frost possible over the inland central and eastern
South West Land Division, southern Goldfields and western Eucla.

Forecast for Thursday 11 June
Showers southwest of a line from about Port Hedland to Warburton. Possible
thunderstorms over the western Gascoyne, western Pilbara, eastern Goldfields,
eastern Eucla, and parts of the southwest Interior. Moderate to heavy falls are
possible over the Gascoyne and west Pilbara. Possible morning fog over the
southwest Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 12 June
Showers southwest of a line from about Wallal to Warburton. Possible
thunderstorms over the western Pilbara. Moderate to heavy falls possible over
the west and southern Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne and northern Goldfields.

Forecast for Saturday 13 June
Showers near the southwest Capes extending to be southwest of a line from
Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay during the day. Showers also possible over the
Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, and Southern Interior. Possible thunderstorms near
the southwest coasts in the afternoon or evening. Possible morning frost
through inland parts of the South West Land Division and southwestern
Goldfields.
