Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high southeast of the state extends a ridge northwards bringing a cool, dry
southeasterly surge to northern district, weakening on Thursday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system southeast of the state is slowly moving east. A cold
front will begin to move over the far southwest corner during Wednesday
afternoon and then the remainder of the South West Land Division overnight and
into Thursday morning. A ridge will extend over southern WA on Friday before
another front approaches from the west during Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 26 May
Light showers or drizzle possible over eastern Eucla and far southeastern
Interior. Chance of a shower about the South West Capes in the late evening.
Forecast for Wednesday 27 May
Showers developing south of a line Mandurah to Albany in the morning, extending
eastwards to be west of a line from Shark Bay to Bremer Bay by the evening.
Chance of a gusty thunderstorm southwest of Lancelin to Bremer Bay in the
afternoon and evening. Isolated heavy falls possible over the southern parts of
the Lower West and South West districts. Light shower or drizzle possible over
eastern Eucla and adjacent southeast Interior, most in the morning. Chance of
morning fog over the eastern parts of South East Coastal, eastern Goldfields,
southern parts of South Interior and Eucla. Windy about the southwest coast in
the afternoon and evening.
Forecast for Thursday 28 May
Showers over South West Land Division, southern Gascoyne, Goldfields and Eucla,
more frequent over the Central West, western parts of the Central Wheat Belt
and northern parts of the Lower West. Rainfall easing across the South West
Land Division in the afternoon and evening. Chance of a morning thunderstorm
over western and southern parts of the South West Land Division. Chance of
morning fog over eastern Eucla and adjacent South Interior. Windy about the
southwest coast and south coast of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Friday 29 May
Light showers or drizzle areas south of a line from about Coral Bay to
Warburton, more frequent about the west and south coasts. Chance of morning fog
through inland parts of the South West Land Division. Chance of morning fog
over inland parts of South West Land Division.
Forecast for Saturday 30 May
Showers over the South West Land Division, Goldfields, southern Gascoyne and
Eucla, more frequent over the western districts. Chance of a thunderstorm about
the coast between Jurien Bay and Bremer Bay. Chance of morning fog over Eucla.
Becoming windy about the west and southwest coasts.
