Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge over central WA is slowly weakening. A trough will develop over inland
parts from Friday, before another ridge strengthens early next week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front is moving eastwards along the south coast, another expected
to brush the south coast overnight tonight. A new ridge will extend over
central WA later Friday and into the weekend, a further weak front reaching the
southwest on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of Thursday 14 May
Light showers or drizzle south of a line Eneabba to Bremer Bay, mostly about
the coasts. Chance of a shower extending to remaining parts southwest of a line
Kalbarri to Israelite Bay in the evening.
Forecast for Friday 15 May
Light showers or drizzle over the South West Land Division, southern
Goldfields, Eucla and southern Interior, mostly about the coasts. Chance of a
thunderstorm over the southeastern Goldfields, far eastern South East Coastal
district and Eucla. Afternoon or evening shower possible across northern
Kimberley. Morning fog possible over southwestern parts of the South West Land
Division.
Forecast for Saturday 16 May
Showers about coastal parts of the South West Land Division. Showers possible
over the north and east Kimberley, central and eastern Interior and Eucla.
Chance of a thunderstorm about the central and eastern Interior. Morning fog
possible over southern parts of the South West Land Division and northwestern
Kimberley.
Forecast for Sunday 17 May
Showers over southwestern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers
possible over the Kimberley, much of the Interior, eastern Pilbara and far
northeast Gascoyne. Chance of a thunderstorm about the northern and eastern
Kimberley, southeastern Pilbara, far northeastern Gascoyne and central
Interior. Morning fog possible over western parts of the South West Land
Division.
Forecast for Monday 18 May
Showers over southern district, mostly about the coast. Showers possible over
the Kimberley and northeastern Interior. Chance of a thunderstorm over the far
northwestern Kimberley. Morning fog possible over western and southern parts of
the South West Land Division.
