Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure system over the southeast of the country will maintain east to
southeasterly winds across the northern parts of the state for the next few
days.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system now located neat Tasmania extends a ridge across
southern and western parts of the State. A cold front will approach the
southwest on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 11 May
Light showers about the Eucla coast, clearing by evening. Areas of smoke haze
about the southern parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Tuesday 12 May
Light showers developing about the South West Capes in the late evening, with
chance of a gusty thunderstorm. Possible morning fog over the Eucla and
adjacent South East Coastal district. Areas of smoke haze about the southern
parts of the South West Land Division. Windy across eastern Pilbara, southern
Kimberley, and North Interior in the morning.
Forecast for Wednesday 13 May
Showers developing south of a line Bunbury to Albany, extending to south of a
line Yanchep to Bremer Bay in the afternoon and evening. Chance of a gusty
thunderstorm south of a line Bunbury to Albany. Afternoon and evening showers
possible across northern and eastern Kimberley. Windy in the afternoon and
evening across southern parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Thursday 14 May
Light showers or drizzle south of a line Eneabba to Esperance, extending to
south a line Kalbarri to Israelite Bay in the evening, more frequent about the
coasts. Chance of a gusty thunderstorm about the South East Coastal district
coastline. Afternoon and evening showers possible across northern and eastern
Kimberley.
Forecast for Friday 15 May
Light showers or drizzle over the South West Land Division, southern and
central Goldfields, Eucla and southern Interior, more frequent about the
coasts. Chance of a thunderstorm over central and southern Goldfields, far
eastern South East Coastal and Eucla. Afternoon and evening showers possible
across northern and eastern Kimberley, and eastern parts of North Interior.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 1:45 am WST Tuesday.
