Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough will persist over the Kimberley until Wednesday. A ridge over the west
coast is directing a southeasterly surge to northern parts of the State. The
ridge will continue to strengthen throughout the week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge extends along the south coast and into the Bight. It will remain
centred in the Bight and continue to be the dominant weather feature throughout
the week.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 5 May
Light showers close to the south coast and across the Eucla, southeastern
Goldfields and southern South Interior, contracting to the coast during the
afternoon. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the northern and eastern
Kimberley.
Forecast for Wednesday 6 May
Light showers close to the south coast and across the Eucla, southern
Goldfields and southern South Interior. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over
the northwest Kimberley. Windy morning for the Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern
Goldfields and northern parts of the Interior. Possible morning fog over the
inland South West district.
Forecast for Thursday 7 May
Light showers close to the south coast east of Albany and across the Eucla,
southern Goldfields and southern South Interior. Chance of an early shower over
the far northwest Kimberley. Apart from southern districts windy morning for
the much of the State. Possible morning fog over southern coastal districts.
Forecast for Friday 8 May
Possible light shower along the south coast east of Albany in the morning and
also the far southeast Goldfields and Eucla. Apart from the southern districts
windy morning for the much of the State.
Forecast for Saturday 9 May
Possible light shower over the Eucla and the South East Coastal district, east
of Esperance. Apart from the southern districts windy morning for the much of
the State.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 1:45 am WST Wednesday.
