Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge that has persisted over the Kimberley for most of the week is weakening
ahead of a trough moving east across Western Australia. The trough will make
its way into the Kimberley on Saturday and remain there into the new week. A
new ridge is forming in behind the trough, bringing a southeasterly surge to
northern parts of the state over the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A low-pressure system in the Bight continues to move east, as does the trough
it extends over eastern parts of Western Australia. A ridge is forming in
behind the trough, settling over the southwest before extending over much of
the state during the weekend and into the new week.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 1 May
Showers and the chance of thunderstorms over the South Interior, Eucla and far
eastern Goldfields. Isolated thunderstorms and possible small hail along the
south coast between Bremer Bay and Israelite Bay. Showers over remaining
southern parts of the South West Land Division. Windy near the south coast.

Forecast for Saturday 2 May
Showers over far southern parts of the State, mostly near the south coast. A
chance of thunderstorms along the Eucla coast. Remaining cool over the south of
the State. Windy across the Eucla district.

Forecast for Sunday 3 May
Light showers over southern parts of the State, mostly near the south coast.
Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the western Pilbara. Chance of a shower
over the far north Kimberley. Windy morning in the Pilbara and Gascoyne.

Forecast for Monday 4 May
Light showers over the south coast, southern Goldfields, southern South
Interior and Eucla. Chance of a shower over the far north Kimberley. Windy
morning for the Pilbara, Gascoyne and western Kimberley. Possible morning fog
across southern inland parts of the South West Land Division and the southern
Goldfields.

Forecast for Tuesday 5 May
Light showers close to the south coast and across the Eucla, eastern Goldfields
and southern South Interior. Chance of a shower over the far north Kimberley.
Windy morning for the eastern Pilbara. Possible morning fog across southern
inland parts of the South West Land Division, the southern Goldfields and Eucla.
