Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends from the southern Kimberley over the Pilbara coast this week,
with a low deepening about the northwest Gascoyne today.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A slow moving ridge persists south of the state, with a west coast trough
deepening today before pushing offshore on Tuesday. A cold front passes the
southwest corner on Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 16 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northeast Interior, with
possible heavy falls in the far east. Chance of showers and thunderstorms over
the central and eastern Pilbara and northeast Gascoyne. Light showers or
drizzle over the South Coastal and east Eucla districts, mainly in the early
afternoon.

Forecast for Tuesday 17 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and northeast Interior. Possible
heavy falls over the far east Kimberley. Chance of showers and thunderstorms
over the central and eastern Pilbara. Light showers and drizzle over the
eastern Goldfields, eastern South East Coastal, Eucla, and southern parts of
the Interior, mainly in the morning and early afternoon. Possible morning fog
over the South East Coastal district. Windy in the morning across the Gascoyne,
Central West and along the Darling Scarp. Temperatures warming near the west
coast.

Forecast for Wednesday 18 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior, and west Pilbara.
Light showers and drizzle over the Eucla. Hot near the west coast. Windy in the
morning across the Gascoyne, Central West and along the Darling Scarp.

Forecast for Thursday 19 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern parts of the Interior,
and the eastern Pilbara. Chance of a shower over the eastern Eucla, and about
the South West and South Coastal districts. Hot over much of the inland South
West Land Division.

Forecast for Friday 20 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and eastern Interior,
Pilbara, and northern Gascoyne. Light showers over the southern South West,
South Coastal, and adjacent parts of the Great Southern districts, mostly in
the morning. Hot over much of the South West Land Division.
