Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends across the Kimberley, while another trough is located near the
west Pilbara coast as a broad east to southeast flow extends across inland
areas. A weak tropical low over the Kimberley will move offshore across the
west Kimberley coast on Wednesday and continue moving westwards further into
the Indian Ocean for the remainder of the week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure lies slow moving over southern and central parts of
the state, while a deep trough extends down the west coast. The trough is
expected to move inland over the weekend, ahead of a weak cold front moving
through the Bight.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 3 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northeastern Pilbara and North
Interior. Heavy falls possible over the Kimberley. Very hot across western
Pilbara, western Gascoyne and inland Central West district. Windy over inland
Pilbara, northern Interior and far southern Kimberley.

Forecast for Wednesday 4 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara and northern
Interior. Heavy falls possible over the Kimberley. Chance of morning fog over
southern parts of the South West Land Division. Very hot across the western
Pilbara, western Gascoyne, Central West, northern Lower West and adjacent
northwest Central Wheat Belt. Windy over the Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern
Interior and southern Kimberley during the day, windy in the morning over the
Darling Scarp.

Forecast for Thursday 5 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, inland northern
Gascoyne, northern and central Interior. Chance of morning fog over
southeastern parts of the South West Land Division. Very hot across the western
Pilbara, western Gascoyne, Central West, inland northern Lower West districts
and western Central Wheat Belt. Windy over the Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern
Interior and southwest Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 6 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and North Interior.
Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over northern parts of South Interior,
northern and central Gascoyne, far northern parts of the Goldfields and
northern parts of Central West. Very hot across the western Pilbara, western
Gascoyne, Central West, inland Lower West, western Central Wheat Belt and
northwest Great Southern districts. Windy over the Pilbara, Gascoyne and
northern Interior. Wind in the morning along the Darling Scarp.

Forecast for Saturday 7 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Interior and
northern Gascoyne. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over southern Gascoyne,
Central West and western parts of central Wheat Belt. Very hot across the
western Pilbara, western Gascoyne and over the South West Land Division away
from the south coast. Windy over the western Pilbara, Gascoyne and Darling
Scarp in the morning.
