Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies across the Pilbara and Kimberley, persisting for the
remainder of the week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure centre drifting east in the Great Australian Bight extends a
ridge across southern WA. A trough along the west coast will deepen before
moving inland late on Saturday, as a weak front brushes the southwest coast. A
new ridge will strengthen from the southwest in its wake.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 13 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, north and central Interior,
east and central Pilbara, and far northeast Gascoyne. Showers possible over the
remainder of the eastern Interior, southeast Goldfields, Eucla and south coast
east of Albany. Windy at times over central parts.
Forecast for Saturday 14 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and northern
Interior, central and eastern Pilbara and inland Gascoyne. Afternoon and
evening showers or thunderstorms possible for western parts of the South West
Land Division. Possible light morning shower about the Eucla coast. Windy over
the Gascoyne.
Forecast for Sunday 15 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and central
Interior, eastern Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, Goldfields and southern and
eastern parts of the South West Land Division. Showers possible over remaining
parts of the South West Land Division south of Jurien Bay, and for the western
Eucla.
Forecast for Monday 16 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, much of the Interior and
Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne, north and east Goldfields and Eucla. Showers
possible over southern parts of the South West Land Division and remaining
southern Goldfields. Becoming windy over southeastern and central parts of the
State later in the day.
Forecast for Tuesday 17 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, north and central Interior,
Pilbara, northeast Gascoyne and Eucla coast. Windy over southeastern and
central parts of the State.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 1:45 am WST Saturday.
