Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Mitchell continues to weaken into a broad trough as it
moves over land through the southern Gascoyne. The trough will push into the
Pilbara from Thursday, and persist as a broad area of low pressure in northern
parts of the State for the remainder of the week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Mitchell continues to weaken into a broad trough as it
moves over land through the southern Gascoyne. It is expected move over the
northern Goldfields on early Wednesday, before a ridge of high pressure pushes
the trough northwards into the South Interior later in the day. A west coast
trough will start to develop from Thursday, moving inland on Saturday as a cold
front brushes the southwest coast.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 10 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, east Pilbara, Interior,
Gascoyne, Goldfields, and northern and eastern parts of the South West Land
Division. Moderate to heavy falls possible over the southern Gascoyne, Central
West, Central Wheat Belt, and west Goldfields. Chance of a shower over most
remaining parts of the State, except the west Pilbara, east Eucla, and southern
South West district. Windy over the Gascoyne, Goldfields, South West Land
Division, and Eucla.

Forecast for Wednesday 11 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, eastern Pilbara, Interior,
southeast Gascoyne, central Goldfields, northern parts of the Central Wheat
Belt and the Eucla. Heavy falls possible in the Interior. Chance of a shower
over the northwest Gascoyne, the remainder of the Goldfields and Eucla, and
eastern South West Land Division. Windy over southern parts of the State.

Forecast for Thursday 12 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms possible over the Kimberley, east Pilbara, and
northern and central Interior. Showers possible over the remainder of the
Interior, southeast Gascoyne, Goldfields, Eucla, South East Coastal, South
Coastal, southeast Great Southern, and northeast Central Wheat Belt. Windy at
times over southern parts of the State.

Forecast for Friday 13 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms possible over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northeast
Gascoyne, and northern and central Interior. Showers possible over the
remainder of the eastern Interior, southeast Goldfields, Eucla and south coast
east of Albany. Windy at times over parts of the Interior, Gascoyne and
northern Goldfields.

Forecast for Saturday 14 February
Showers and gusty thunderstorms possible over the Kimberley, central and
northern Interior, much of the Pilbara, northeast and southern Gascoyne,
northern Central Wheat Belt, and South Coastal, eastern South West, and
southern Great Southern districts. Showers possible much of the remainder of
the South West Land Division, east Gascoyne, west Goldfields, and central
Interior. Windy morning over the Gascoyne.
