Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over northern parts of the state and will persist through
the week, extending westwards as the weekend approaches. A ridge will bring a
southeasterly surge to the North Interior District from Thursday.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure will remain over the southern and central parts of the
state this week, a west coast trough starting to develop from Wednesday. The
trough will deepen before moving inland on Friday ahead of a cold front
approaching the southwest on the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 13 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara,
northeastern Gascoyne, eastern and northern Goldfields, Eucla, and the South
East Coastal district. Showers possible over the southern parts of the South
West Land Division. Windy at times over south coastal districts, southern
Goldfields and far southern Interior.
Forecast for Wednesday 14 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northeast Interior,
Pilbara, and the northeast Gascoyne. Showers possible over the southern
districts and far southern Goldfields, mostly in the morning. Very hot over the
southern and eastern Kimberley, Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, northern and central
Interior, and inland Central West. Windy over central and southern WA.
Forecast for Thursday 15 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, far north and central
Interior, Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, and inland northern parts of the South West
Land Division. Light showers possible along the Eucla coast, mostly in the
morning.Very hot over the southern and eastern Kimberley, Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne, northern and central Interior, and inland Central West and Lower West
districts. Windy over southeast WA, and about the Kimberley in the evening.
Forecast for Friday 16 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern Interior, Pilbara,
inland Gascoyne, western Goldfields, and much of the central and eastern South
West Land Division.Very hot over the southern and eastern Kimberley, North
Interior, Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, northeast Central West, and some central
southern parts of the South West land Division. Windy at times over the
Interior and Eucla.

Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and western
Interior, Pilbara, inland Gascoyne, Goldfields, and much of the eastern and
southern parts of the South West Land Division.Very hot over the southern and
eastern Kimberley, North Interior, Pilbara, and northern Gascoyne. Windy at
times over the Interior, Goldfields, and Eucla.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 1:45 am WST Wednesday.
