Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure through inland areas will move closer to the coast
as an easterly flow develops, moving back inland later in the week once the
easterly flow weakens.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A firm ridge persists across much of southern WA. A west coast trough is
deepening and will move offshore tomorrow before moving inland on Friday ahead
of a weak cold front.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 23 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern Interior, Pilbara
and north and west Gascoyne. Very hot through the Pilbara, western Gascoyne,
Central West and northern parts of Lower West. Windy at times over central WA
and southern WA.
Forecast for Wednesday 24 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, much of the
Gascoyne and northern Central West district. Very hot through the western
Pilbara, western Gascoyne, Central West and Lower West and northern parts of
South West districts. Windy at times over central and southern WA.
Forecast for Thursday 25 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northeast North Interior,
most of the Pilbara, Gascoyne, and Central West, Lower West and north and west
Central Wheat Belt. Very hot through the western Pilbara, southwest Kimberley,
western Gascoyne, and western and southwestern districts of the South West Land
Division. Windy at times over the Interior, central and southern WA.
Forecast for Friday 26 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, adjacent North Interior,
northeast coastal Pilbara, southern and inland parts of the South West Land
Division and southern Goldfields. Light showers possible about the west coast
of the South West Land Division. Very hot through the Pilbara, southwest
Kimberley, eastern Gascoyne, eastern parts of the South West Land Division,
Goldfields and western Eucla. Windy at times over the Interior, central and
southern WA.
Forecast for Saturday 27 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over most of the Kimberley, northeast Pilbara,
far southeast Gascoyne, northeast Central Wheat Belt and northwest Goldfields.
Light showers possible about the south coast of the South West Land Division,
southern Goldfields and western Eucla. Very hot through the Pilbara, southwest
Kimberley, eastern Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and eastern Eucla. Windy over
southern WA and west Gascoyne.
