Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure persists through inland areas. Winds turning
easterly by Tuesday will push the inland trough closer to the coast.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge persists across much of southern WA. A weak front will brush the south
coast on Monday, followed by the west coast trough returning by Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 21 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and central
Interior, most of the Pilbara, and far northeast Gascoyne. Light shower
possible near the Eucla coast clearing during the afternoon. Very hot through
the Pilbara, far southwest Kimberley, and northern Gascoyne. Windy at over
southeastern parts later in the day.

Forecast for Monday 22 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and central
Interior, Pilbara and inland northern Gascoyne. Light showers over the South
West, South Coastal and far southern Great Southern districts, extending east
along the coast to Esperance in the afternoon and mostly clearing by evening.
Very hot through the Pilbara and northern Gascoyne. Windy at times over central
WA, and over southeastern parts later in the day.

Forecast for Tuesday 23 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern Interior, Pilbara,
north and west Gascoyne and northern parts of Central West district. Light
coastal showers east of Esperance, contracting east and clearing by evening.
Very hot through the western Pilbara, western Gascoyne and Central West
district. Windy at times over central WA and southern WA.

Forecast for Wednesday 24 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, north and west
Gascoyne and northern parts of the Central West district. Windy at times over
central and southern WA. Very hot through the western Pilbara, western
Gascoyne, Central West and Lower West districts. Windy at times over central
and southern WA.

Forecast for Thursday 25 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northeast North Interior,
most of the Pilbara, Gascoyne, and northern and southwestern parts of the South
West Land Division. Very hot through the western Pilbara, western Gascoyne, and
western and southwestern districts of the South West Land Division. Windy at
times over central and southern WA.
