Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure persists through inland areas. A ridge building to
the south will bring a south to southeast wind change to southern Pilbara and
southern parts of the North Interior over the weekend. Winds turning easterly
early next week will push the inland trough closer to the coast.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge will develop across much of southern WA on Sunday, while a trough lies
across the Interior. A weak front will brush the south coast on Monday,
followed by the west coast trough returning by Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 20 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne, most of the Goldfields, and Eucla. Light showers about coastal parts
of the South East Coastal district. Very hot through the Pilbara, far southwest
Kimberley, northern Gascoyne and central Interior. Windy at times over southern
and central WA.

Forecast for Sunday 21 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and central
Interior, most of the Pilbara and far northeast Gascoyne. Light showers
possible near the coast east of Esperance, contracting east and clearing in the
afternoon and evening. Very hot through the Pilbara, far southwest Kimberley,
and northern Gascoyne. Windy at times over central WA, and over southeastern
parts later in the day.

Forecast for Monday 22 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and central
Interior, most of the Pilbara and inland northern Gascoyne. Light showers
possible over south coastal districts. Very hot through the Pilbara and
northern Gascoyne. Windy at times over central WA, and over southeastern parts
later in the day.

Forecast for Tuesday 23 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern Interior, Pilbara,
north and west Gascoyne and northern parts of Central West district. Light
showers possible over south coastal districts east of Bremer Bay. Very hot
through the western Pilbara, western Gascoyne and Central West. Windy over
central and southern WA.

Forecast for Wednesday 24 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern Interior, Pilbara,
north and west Gascoyne and northern parts of Central West. Windy over central
and southern WA. Very hot through the western Pilbara, western Gascoyne,
Central West and Lower West districts. Windy over central and southern WA.
