Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad area of low pressure across inland parts gets pushed closer to the
coast as a ridge to the south brings a brief southeasterly wind change to the
North Interior and Pilbara on Sunday. The trough develops and moves back inland
early next week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure sits across southern WA. A trough develops through
inland parts of the South West Land Division on Sunday and move eastwards on
Monday. A weak front will brush past the far south coast on Monday ahead of the
next high pressure ridge forming over the far south of the state.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 6 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over most of the Kimberley. Chance of a gusty
shower or thunderstorm over the Interior.

Forecast for Sunday 7 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and eastern Interior, most
widespread over the north and east Kimberley. Chance of a late shower about the
far southwest coast. Chance of morning fog over far southwest parts of the
South West Land Division. Very hot through the North Interior, Pilbara and
inland Kimberley. Windy through the North Interior and inland Pilbara in the
morning and near the Gascoyne and Pilbara coasts in the afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Monday 8 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley and North Interior, most
widespread over the north and east Kimberley. Chance of a shower or
thunderstorm with little or no rainfall over the eastern Gascoyne, far northern
Goldfields and western Interior. Light showers possible south of a line from
Harvey to Israelite Bay. Very hot through the Interior, Pilbara, inland
Kimberley and Gascoyne. Windy through southern and western districts in the
afternoon and evening.

Forecast for Tuesday 9 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Goldfields, southeast
Gascoyne, eastern South West Land Division and far west Eucla. Windy at times
over much of the State.

Forecast for Wednesday 10 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Goldfields, central and
eastern Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, northeast Central Wheat Belt and most of the
Eucla.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 1:45 am WST Sunday.
