Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough extends along the northwest coast. The trough will move inland from
tomorrow as a ridge to the south weakens.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A west coast trough will move inland later today, then continue to move east
and reach the Goldfields later Tuesday and the South Australian border during
Wednesday. A ridge will extend east along the south coast in the wake of the
trough with a weak cold front brushing the western south coast late Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of Monday 1 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, far northwest Interior,
Pilbara, western and central Gascoyne and northern Central West district. Very
hot over northwestern parts of the South West Land Division and southwest
Kimberley.
Forecast for Tuesday 2 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the north and west Kimberley, northwest
Pilbara, western and southern Gascoyne, and northern parts of the South West
Land Division. Possible late light shower about the western south coastal
fringe. Milder about the west coast. Very hot over northeastern and inland
southeastern parts of the South West Land Division. Chance of morning fog over
the South West and adjacent western South Coast districts. Windy morning over
the Interior and Eucla.
Forecast for Wednesday 3 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the northwest Kimberley, western and
central Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern and eastern South West Land Division,
Goldfields, adjacent western Interior and western Eucla. Light showers
southwest of Bunbury to Bremer Bay, mostly in the morning. Chance of morning
fog over southern coastal districts. Windy over the Eucla, and the Interior
during the morning.
Forecast for Thursday 4 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over north parts of the south West Land
Division, south and east Gascoyne, Goldfields, west and south Interior and
Eucla. Chance of a light morning shower about the south coastal fringe between
Walpole and Bremer Bay.
Forecast for Friday 5 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the southeast Goldfields, southern South
Interior and Eucla. Light showers possible south of Busselton to Albany.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 1:45 am WST Tuesday.
