Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough in the Kimberley moves east into the NT on Monday. Another trough,
currently in the Interior, extends through the Pilbara on Sunday, then down the
west coast on Monday. The trough moves inland on Tuesday, with another broad
area of low pressure re-establishing over the Pilbara late Wednesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure centre moves further east into the Bight, extending a trough
over the Interior. A ridge builds across the south of the state in its wake,
with a trough developing along the west coast on Monday. The trough moves
inland on Tuesday ahead of a cold front arriving on Wednesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 25 October
Light showers from Walpole to Israelite Bay. The chance of showers and gusty
thunderstorms over central and eastern parts of the Kimberley and the eastern
Interior. Fresh and gusty winds over the southern Goldfields, South East
Coastal District, Eucla and Interior.

Forecast for Sunday 26 October
Light showers southwest of a line from Lancelin to Esperance and east along the
coast to Eucla, most likely between Busselton and Albany, clearing in the
evening. Slight chance of a thunderstorm in the Central Wheat Belt. Possible
showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon, over the the central and
eastern Kimberley and eastern North Interior. Areas of morning fog over inland
southern and western parts of the South West Land Division. Windy over the
inland Pilbara, Interior, Eucla, northern Goldfields and Gascoyne.

Forecast for Monday 27 October
Light showers about the south coast east of Esperance, mainly in the morning.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms in the north and east Kimberley and southern
South Interior. Possible morning frost in the east Central Wheat Belt and
adjacent parts of the South East Coastal and Goldfields districts. Patchy
morning fog in inland western parts of the South West Land Division. Fresh and
gusty winds in the morning over the Interior.

Forecast for Tuesday 28 October
Light morning showers about the far east Eucla coast. Chance of showers and
thunderstorms through the northeast Kimberley. Showers developing about the
Central West coast in the evening. Fresh and gusty winds extending over much of
the State, excluding the Kimberley. Warm through southwestern WA.

Forecast for Wednesday 29 October
Showers southwest of a line from Kalbarri to Ravensthorpe, extending along the
south coast to Eucla. Thunderstorms possible over the eastern Eucla district
and far southern South Interior. Showers and thunderstorms also possible about
the northeast Kimberley. Fresh and gusty winds extending over much of the
State, excluding the Kimberley. Warm through southeastern WA.
