Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough extends across the Pilbara and Kimberley, migrating eastwards
into the eastern Pilbara and Interior this weekend. A south to southeasterly
change will extend across the Pilbara from Sunday associated with the next
ridge.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough inland of the west coast migrates eastwards ahead of a cold front
reaching the far southwest early Saturday. A cloud band develops ahead of the
cold front on Saturday, spanning from northwest to southeastern parts. A trough
lingering in northern South West Land Division supports the cloud band into
early next week. A ridge extends along the south coast from Sunday, with
another cold front moving over southern WA on Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 3 October
Light showers developing about the South West and Lower West districts in the
evening. Scattered showers and gusty thunderstorms over the north and east
Kimberley, and eastern parts of the Interior. Cloud increasing over the western
Gascoyne and Pilbara.

Forecast for Saturday 4 October
Showers with areas of rain over the South West Land Division, Gascoyne,
Goldfields, western Eucla and western Pilbara, with isolated thunderstorms
across the Gascoyne and Goldfields. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the
northwest Kimberley. Possible morning fog over the western Kimberley. Hot and
windy over the eastern Goldfields, South Interior and Eucla.

Forecast for Sunday 5 October
Showers over the South West Land Division. Showers and areas of rain over the
Gascoyne, far western Pilbara, Goldfields, Eucla and southern South Interior.
Windy across the Interior and Eucla during the day.

Forecast for Monday 6 October
Showers over the South West Land Division and Gascoyne. Showers and areas of
rain with the chance of a thunderstorm over the Goldfields, Eucla and southern
South Interior. Possible morning fog over the far north Kimberley.

Forecast for Tuesday 7 October
Showers over coastal districts of the South West Land Division. Showers and the
chance of a thunderstorm over the eastern Goldfields, southern South Interior
and Eucla. Chance of a shower over the north Kimberley coast. Windy across the
South Interior during the day and along the Gascoyne and Pilbara coasts in the
afternoon.
