Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough moves east out of inland districts tonight. A ridge developing behind
this trough will bring an east to southeasterly surge through the Interior,
Pilbara and Kimberley over the weekend, and will dominate weather pattern into
next week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak front will brush the far south early Friday. A ridge of high pressure is
developing about the central west coast, and slips south on Friday. This ridge
will dominate the weather pattern into next week, with a trough forming along
the west coast.

Forecast for the rest of Thursday 18 September
Light showers over southern and western parts of the South West and western
South Coastal districts, extending into the southern Lower West district later
in the evening.

Forecast for Friday 19 September
Light showers over central and southern parts of the South West Land Division,
retracting to the south coast in the afternoon and mostly clearing by evening.
Patchy morning frost over the southern and eastern Central Wheat Belt and
adjacent southwest Goldfields. Possible morning fog over the western South West
Land Division, Eucla and far north Kimberley. Fresh and gusty winds in the
morning over the west Pilbara and northwest Gascoyne.

Forecast for Saturday 20 September
Light showers over south coastal districts, retracting to the coastal fringe by
early afternoon and clearing by evening. Possible morning fog over inland parts
of the south coastal districts, Great Southern district, and far southern
Goldfields. Warm over the western Gascoyne. Fresh and gusty winds in the
morning over the east Pilbara and the North Interior.

Forecast for Sunday 21 September
Light showers over the South East Coastal district and southern Eucla,
retracting to the coastal fringe during the morning and clearing early
afternoon. Slight chance of a shower in the far north and northeastern
Kimberley, most likely in the afternoon. Possible morning fog over inland parts
of the south coastal districts, Great Southern district, and far southern
Goldfields. Warm over the western Gascoyne and western South West Land
Division. Fresh and gusty winds in the morning over the central and east
Pilbara, far southern Kimberley and northern Interior.

Forecast for Monday 22 September
Chance of a shower along the Eucla coast in the early morning, and in the far
north and northwestern Kimberley in the afternoon. Warm over the western
Gascoyne and western South West Land Division. Fresh and gusty winds over
northern and central parts.
