Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough continues east over the North Interior this evening, then lingering in
the southern Kimberley until Wednesday. A ridge developing over the central
west coast will push a moderate to fresh southeasterly flow over northern WA in
the wake of the trough on Tuesday. Another ridge developing over the west coast
on Thursday renews the moderate to fresh southeasterly flow over the west
Pilbara, strengthening into Friday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge of high pressure builds about the central west coast, interrupted by a
cold front which will move into the southwest on Wednesday. A series of weak
fronts then brush the far south through to late Thursday. Another ridge begins
strengthening over the central west from Thursday, with its axis of high
pressure gradually sliding south to meet the south coast on Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 15 September
Showers about the south coast with a chance about the west coast. Light showers
over northern parts of the South Interior.

Forecast for Tuesday 16 September
Light showers southwest of a line from Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay and extending
along the south coast to Eucla. Showers most likely southwest of Perth to
Albany. Chance of a shower over the northern South Interior. Patchy morning
frost through inland central and southern parts of the South West Land Division
and southwest Goldfields. Possible morning fog through the north and west
Kimberley. Fresh and gusty winds in the morning through the Pilbara and North
Interior.

Forecast for Wednesday 17 September
Showers southwest of a line from Kalbarri to Israelite Bay, heavier southwest
of a line Lancelin to Bremer Bay. Patchy morning frost through the far eastern
Wheat Belt and southwestern Goldfields. Chance of thunderstorms near the coast
between Windy Harbour and Bremer Bay. Possible morning fog through the far
north Kimberley and Central West district.

Forecast for Thursday 18 September
Chance of showers over the west and south of the South West Land Division, more
likely about the south coast.

Forecast for Friday 19 September
Chance of showers over the Eucla coast and the central and southern South West
Land Division, more likely about the south coast. Possible morning fog over the
western South West Land Division and Eucla.
