Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure centre extends a ridge over southern parts of state, directing
a fresh southeasterly flow over northern WA. A trough lies over the northern
Kimberley, decaying on Friday whilst the high pressure centre migrates east,
gradually easing winds over the north.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge extends over southern WA, moving slowly eastward. By late
Thursday, the high pressure centre will be moving across the Eucla and into the
Bight. A cold front moves over southwestern parts during Saturday with another
on Sunday.

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday 10 September
Light showers over coastal parts of the Eucla. Chance of a shower or
thunderstorm over the north Kimberley. Areas of smoke over the Dampier
Peninsula.

Forecast for Thursday 11 September
Light morning showers along the Eucla coast. Chance of a shower or thunderstorm
over the north Kimberley. Patchy morning frost and possible fog over southern
and central parts of the South West Land Division and southern Goldfields.
Possible morning fog also over the Eucla. Windy morning over the central and
eastern Pilbara, southern Kimberley and North Interior.

Forecast for Friday 12 September
Chance of a shower over the north and east Kimberley. Slight chance of a late
evening shower over the western South West District. Warm over western parts of
the state. Windy morning over the east Pilbara, south Kimberley and North
Interior.

Forecast for Saturday 13 September
Gusty showers over the South West Land Division. Showers extending over the
southern Gascoyne, Goldfields, and western Eucla districts from the afternoon.
Warm over the northwest through to the southeast of the state. Windy morning
over the southern Kimberley. Becoming windy over the Goldfields, Eucla, South
East Coastal, and South Coastal districts.

Forecast for Sunday 14 September
Gusty showers over the South West Land Division, more frequent southwest of a
line from Jurien Bay to Lake Grace. Showers over the Gascoyne, Goldfields,
Eucla, southwest South Interior, tending light in the far west Pilbara. The
chance of a gusty thunderstorm about the coast between Cape Naturaliste and
Bremer Bay. Becoming windy over southern and central districts.
