Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge over central WA is moving east and allowing a trough over the western
Pilbara to move inland ahead of a cold front passing through southern WA during
Sunday and Monday. A new ridge developing over central WA early next week will
bring another cooler, drier wind surge from Tuesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system over eastern WA is moving east. The next moderate cold
front will move through southern WA on Sunday and Monday, followed by another
cold outbreak. A new ridge will develop across central WA later Monday into
Tuesday.

Forecast for the rest of Saturday 26 July
Showers about the South West Capes with the chance of a gusty thunderstorm
later in the evening. Chance of a light shower over central and eastern South
East Coastal district and along the Eucla coast until early evening.

Forecast for Sunday 27 July
Showers and areas of rain over western parts of the South West Land Division
and adjacent southern Gascoyne coast, extending throughout the remaining South
West Land Division, most of the Gascoyne, far west Pilbara, and western
Goldfields during the afternoon and evening. Isolated gusty thunderstorms over
western districts of the South West Land Division, damaging winds possible with
thunderstorms about coastal parts of the Lower West and western South West
Districts. Heavy falls possible in the South West and Lower West districts.
Possible small hail south of a line Perth to Albany in the late afternoon and
evening. Areas of frost in the morning over the eastern parts of the South West
Land Division, Goldfields, South Interior, inland Gascoyne and southeast
Pilbara. Possible morning fog in the far northern Kimberley. Windy across the
Gascoyne and South West Land Division.

Forecast for Monday 28 July
Showers over the South West Land Division, Gascoyne, far western Pilbara,
Goldfields, southern Interior and Eucla, more frequent about the south and west
coasts. Chance of gusty thunderstorms near the south and west coasts of the
South West Land Division. Possible small hail through central and southern
parts of the South West Land Division and southern Goldfields. Possible snow
flurries over the higher peaks of Stirling Ranges. Possible morning fog in the
far northern Kimberley and chance of morning frost in the South Interior. Cold
across central and southern WA. Windy across the state south of the Kimberley.

Forecast for Tuesday 29 July
Showers about west coastal parts south of Shark Bay, over south parts of South
West Land Division, southern Goldfields, far southern Interior and Eucla, more
frequent about the south coast. Widespread morning frosts through inland parts
of the South West Land Division, Gascoyne, Goldfields, South Interior and
southeast Pilbara. Possible morning fog in the far northeast Kimberley. Cool to
cold across the state south of the Kimberley. Windy at times across the state
south of the northern Kimberley.

Forecast for Wednesday 30 July
Possible showers over the Eucla, southern South Interior, southern Goldfields,
South East Coastal District. Morning frosts possible through inland parts of
the South West Land Division, Gascoyne, Goldfields, and central Interior. Cool
to cold across the state south of the Kimberley.
