Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge lies across central WA coast while a trough will develop near the
Pilbara west coast on Wednesday and move inland ahead of the next cold front
over southern WA on Thursday. Associated cloud band on Wednesday and Thursday
will bring unseasonal light rain to most parts.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge lies across central WA. A cold front will move through southwest WA on
Wednesday and across southern WA on Thursday. A new ridge will extend over
southwest WA on Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 22 July
Light showers over western and central parts of the South West Land Division
and Eucla coast, more frequent about the west coast south of Geraldton.

Forecast for Wednesday 23 July
Showers over the South West Land Division, western and northern Goldfields,
western Pilbara, Gascoyne and adjacent central Interior. Showers more frequent
over the western districts and along the south coast of the South West Land
Division with chance of gusty thunderstorms. Heavy falls possible along the
west and southwest coasts. Morning frosts through the far eastern Gascoyne,
Goldfields and South Interior. Chance of morning fog over the northern
Kimberley. Windy across the southern coastal districts.

Forecast for Thursday 24 July
Partly cloudy across the eastern Kimberley. Showers and areas of rain over the
remainder of the state. Chance of thunderstorms along the west and south coasts
of the South West Land Division. Small hail possible about the southern
districts. Cold throughout the South West Land Division, Goldfields and
southern Gascoyne. Snow flurries possible over the higher peaks of the Stirling
Ranges. Chance of morning fog over the north and northwest Kimberley. Windy
across much of the state south of the northern Kimberley.

Forecast for Friday 25 July
Showers and areas of rain over southern parts of the South West Land Division,
Goldfields, Eucla, northeast Pilbara, eastern and northern Interior, and the
Kimberley. Chance of thunderstorms along the Eucla coast. Small hail possible
about the Esperance coast. Chance of morning fog over the northwest Kimberley.
Widespread morning frosts through inland parts of the South West Land Division,
Gascoyne, western Goldfields, central Interior and southeast Pilbara. Chance of
morning fog over the north and northwest Kimberley. Windy across the Interior,
southeast Goldfields, Eucla and Pilbara.

Forecast for Saturday 26 July
Showers southwest of Perth to Albany, South East Coastal district and Eucla.
Widespread morning frosts through inland parts of the South West Land Division,
Gascoyne, Goldfields, South Interior and southeast Pilbara. Chance of morning
fog over the southwest Goldfields, and southern South West Land Division. Windy
across the Pilbara North Interior and southern Kimberley.
