Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough will remain over western Kimberley and inland Pilbara this
weekend. A strong cold front will move across southern WA on Sunday afternoon,
pushing the weak trough northwards on Monday. A broad ridge will extend across
central WA by Tuesday and will bring a south to southeast wind change to the
Pilbara and Interior. Meanwhile, a weak cloud band will move across the north
on Monday, followed by another cloud band later next week.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A ridge extending over southern parts of the State is moving east. A strong
cold front will cross the South West Land Division during Sunday afternoon and
evening and will continue east across southern WA on Monday. A new ridge will
follow in the wake of the front across the central WA coast, maintaining a
westerly flow across the southwest coast. Another cold front will move through
southwest WA on Wednesday.

Possible light showers about the Lower West and South West districts.
Forecast for Sunday 20 July
Becoming windy across the South West Land Division, Goldfields, Eucla, southern
Interior and Gascoyne with the approach of a strong cold front. Gusty showers
and areas of rain south of a line Geraldton to Bremer Bay, extending throughout
the South West Land Division, southern and western Gascoyne, and southwest
Goldfields in the afternoon and evening. Isolated gusty thunderstorms south of
a line Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay with chance of damaging wind gusts. Small hail
possible across the southwest districts. Snow flurries possible over the
Stirling Ranges later Sunday evening. Areas of morning frosts over the eastern
parts of the South West Land Division, Goldfields, eastern and southern
Gascoyne, and southern Interior.
Forecast for Monday 21 July
Showers over the South West Land Division, Gascoyne, Goldfields, Interior,
Eucla and southwest Kimberley, more frequent over the southern Goldfields,
Eucla, Southeast Coastal, and remainder of the south coast. Showers easing
across most inland areas during the afternoon and evening. Cold throughout much
of the South West Land Division and southern Goldfields. Chance of gusty
thunderstorms and small hail near the south coast. Snow flurries possible over
the Stirling Ranges in the morning. Chance of morning fog and frosts through
inland parts of the South West Land Division. Windy through the Gascoyne,
Goldfields, southern Interior and southern coastal districts.
Forecast for Tuesday 22 July
Showers over the South West Land Division and Eucla coast, more frequent about
the west coast south of Geraldton. Chance of morning frosts through inland
parts of southern and central WA. Windy in the morning over the southern
Kimberley, northern parts of the Pilbara and North Interior.
Forecast for Wednesday 23 July
Showers over the South West Land Division, western and southern Gascoyne,
southwest Goldfields and western Pilbara. Showers more frequent over the
western districts with chance of gusty thunderstorms. Chance of morning frosts
through eastern Gascoyne, northern Goldfields and southern Interior.
