Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A high pressure system drifting across the Great Australian Bight is directing
fresh and gusty east to southeasterly winds over the area. The winds will ease
from Tuesday as the high moves away.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system drifting east across the Great Australian Bight brings
settled weather conditions. A weak cold front will move across the far
southwest on Monday, followed by another cold front on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 27 June
Light showers possible near the coast between Margaret River and Israelite Bay.
Forecast for Saturday 28 June
Light showers along the south coast and adjacent inland. Possible morning fog
about the southern coastal districts, Great Southern and far southern
Goldfields. Patchy morning frost over inland parts of the South West Land
Division, southern Goldfields, inland Eucla and southern parts of the Interior.
Windy during the day through the Kimberley, Pilbara and North Interior.
Forecast for Sunday 29 June
Light showers possible over South East Coastal, Eucla, adjacent South Interior
and far southeast Goldfields. Possible morning fog over inland Eucla and
adjacent South Interior. Patchy morning frost over the southern Interior and
southern Goldfields. Windy during the day through the Kimberley, Pilbara and
northern Interior.
Forecast for Monday 30 June
Gusty showers developing south of a line Yanchep to Albany, with lighter
showers extending inland south of a line Geraldton to Esperance during the late
afternoon and evening. A possible gusty thunderstorm about the South West
Capes. Patchy morning fog over eastern Eucla. Windy in the morning through the
Kimberley, Pilbara and North Interior.
Forecast for Tuesday 1 July
Light showers possible over the South West Land Division and adjacent southern
Gascoyne, more frequent about the southwest coast. Patchy morning frost over
the South Interior.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
