Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge over the south of the State is moving east and will maintain easterly
winds across the north.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A trough near the west coast is moving inland as a cold front approaches. The
cold front will move across the South West Land Division on Saturday, weakening
as it moves east to the Goldfields by Sunday. A ridge will follow on Sunday,
initially moving over southern WA before sliding into the Bight on Tuesday. A
west coast trough will start to form later on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of Friday 2 May
Showers and possible thunderstorms west of a line Perth to Albany, with showers
spreading to west of a line Jurien Bay to Bremer Bay in evening.
Forecast for Saturday 3 May
Showers over the South West Land Division and southwest Goldfields, more
frequent about the southwest coast. Chance of morning fog over inland parts of
central West.
Forecast for Sunday 4 May
Showers over the western and southern parts of the South West Land Division,
western Eucla and far southern Goldfields. Chance of a shower over the north
Kimberley coast and far western Pilbara. Morning fog possible over inland parts
of the Central West, western parts of the Central Wheat Belt, southern
Goldfields and adjacent South East Coastal district.
Forecast for Monday 5 May
Light showers over the southwestern and southern parts of the South West Land
Division. Chance of a shower over the northern Kimberley.
Forecast for Tuesday 6 May
Light showers over the southern coastal districts. Chance of a shower about the
north Kimberley coast. Morning fog possible over inland southern parts of the
South West Land Division.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Saturday.
