Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A ridge should persist over the north of the State until at least mid-week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A strong high pressure system will move through the Southern Ocean during the
next few days as a trough continues to deepen offshore from the west coast. The
trough will move inland during Wednesday ahead of a cold front.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 20 April
Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the Kimberley, Pilbara, and inland
northwest Gascoyne.

Forecast for Monday 21 April
Showers over the Kimberley, North Interior, and northeastern Pilbara. Chance of
showers over the west Pilbara, western Gascoyne and northern South West Land
Division. Chance of thunderstorms over the inland northwestern Kimberley, far
west Pilbara, western Gascoyne and northern Central West district. Warm near
the west coast.

Forecast for Tuesday 22 April
Possible showers over the western Kimberley, Pilbara, northeastern North
Interior and most of the South West Land Division. Chance of a thunderstorm
over the southwest of Kimberley, northeast Pilbara, and far southwest of the
State. Warm over western parts of the State.

Forecast for Wednesday 23 April
Possible thunderstorms over the central and western Pilbara, Gascoyne, Central
West, Lower West, Central Wheat Belt, Great Southern, South West, South
Coastal, and western parts of the South East Coastal districts. Showers
developing west of a line from Port Hedland to Wiluna to Cocklebiddy.

Forecast for Thursday 24 April
Shower possible southwest of a line from about Dampier to Warburton. Chance of
a thunderstorm over the southern Gascoyne and Central Wheat Belt.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:45 am WST Monday.
