Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough over the Kimberley is becoming active, while another trough is located
near the west Pilbara coast. A tropical low is forming in the Indian Ocean off
the northwest coast and is expected to stay well offshore over the weekend and
early next week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge is located in the Bight, while a trough has become slow
moving over the South West Land Division. This weather pattern is expected to
persist well into next week.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 21 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara,
northeast Gascoyne, and Interior.

Forecast for Saturday 22 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara, and
Interior. Possible shower over the far northeast Gascoyne. Very hot over
Central West, northern parts of Lower West , western Gascoyne and western
Pilbara. Windy at times over southeastern parts.

Forecast for Sunday 23 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, central and eastern Pilbara,
northern and eastern Interior. Possible shower over the far northeast Gascoyne,
more frequent over the Kimberley. Light showers over the southern districts
between Margaret River and Esperance. Very hot over northern parts of the South
West Land Division, western Gascoyne and western Pilbara.

Forecast for Monday 24 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, adjacent Gascoyne, and
northern Interior, more frequent over the Kimberley. Very hot over northern and
inland parts of the South West Land Division, western Gascoyne and southwest
Pilbara. Windy at times over central parts.

Forecast for Tuesday 25 March
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Gascoyne, and
northern Interior, more frequent over the Kimberley. Very hot over northern and
inland parts of the South West Land Division, western Gascoyne and southwest
Pilbara. Windy at times over central parts.
