Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough lies over central and northern WA. The trough will move north,
closer to the Kimberley and Pilbara coasts, during the weekend as a ridge
extends over southern WA.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A new ridge is developing over southern parts of the State, persisting over the
weekend and a trough will form down the west coast today. The trough moves
inland on Monday before another weaker ridge moves in from the west.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 23 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Gascoyne, northern parts
of the Interior and far northern Goldfields. Tending warmer down the west
coast. Fresh and gusty east to southeasterly winds in the morning through
central WA and across the Darling Scarp.

Forecast for Monday 24 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, North Interior, Pilbara, inland
Gascoyne and far northwest Goldfields. Hot across central and eastern parts of
the South West Land Division. Windy at times over the Interior and South West
Land Division.

Forecast for Tuesday 25 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, North Interior, inland
Gascoyne, northern and central Goldfields and far northeast Central Wheat Belt.
Possible showers over the southern and central South West Land Division. Very
hot over western parts of the Pilbara, Gascoyne, most of the Goldfields and
eastern Central West district.

Forecast for Wednesday 26 February
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara and northwest Gascoyne.
Showers over the southern South West Land Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Sunday.
