Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad low pressure trough lies over northern parts of the state. The monsoon
may develop in the Timor Sea towards the end of the week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A weak cold front is brushing past the the south coast this morning and will be
followed by another weak cold front across the southern districts tomorrow. A
trough over the Goldfields will move east tomorrow, ahead of the cold front. A
firm ridge will extend across southern WA on Wednesday, with a west coast
trough returning on Thursday.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 13 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, most parts of the Pilbara
apart from the far west, northeast Gascoyne, Interior, northern and eastern
Goldfields, and Eucla district, with possible heavy falls. Light showers over
southwest parts of the South West Land Division. Possible shower over northern
parts of Central West, southern Gascoyne and adjacent Central Wheat Belt later
in the day. Chance of morning fog over southern parts of the South West Land
Division. Very hot over the western Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, South
Interior and Eucla.

Forecast for Tuesday 14 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northeast
Gascoyne, Interior, Goldfields, Eucla and far eastern parts of the South East
Coastal, with possible heavy falls. Possible light showers over most of the
South West Land Division and adjacent southern Gascoyne. Very hot over the far
west Pilbara and northwest Gascoyne. Windy over southern WA.

Forecast for Wednesday 15 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, most parts of the Pilbara
apart from the far west, northern Gascoyne, and northern Interior. Possible
light shower about the Eucla southeast coast. Very hot over the far west
Pilbara and northern Gascoyne. Windy in the morning through central and
southeast WA.

Forecast for Thursday 16 January
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, most parts of the Pilbara
apart from the far west, Gascoyne, northern parts of Central West and northern
Interior. Very hot over southwest Pilbara, Gascoyne, Central West, Central
Wheat Belt and northern parts of Lower West. Windy in the morning through
central and southwest WA.
