Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A slow moving trough extends from inland Pilbara to the North Interior.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge is persisting over the south of the State. A west coast
trough will move inland during today and Monday, followed by a new ridge of
high pressure in the Bight. Another trough will develop down the west coast by
Tuesday and will be slow moving until Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 29 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and western Pilbara,
northern parts of North Interior and inland northern Gascoyne. Chance of a
gusty thunderstorm with little to no rainfall over southern Gascoyne, inland
parts of Central West and Central Wheat Belt. Chance of a shower over eastern
parts of the Great Southern. Windy over central parts. Hot to very hot over the
Pilbara, northern Interior, inland Gascoyne, inland Central West, Central Wheat
Belt, eastern parts of Great Southern, inland parts of South Coastal and South
East Coastal.

Fire Danger:
Extreme in Central West and Central Wheat Belt districts.

Forecast for Monday 30 December
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Interior,
inland Gascoyne, western Goldfields, Central Wheat Belt and adjacent northeast
Great Southern. Showers over southern coastal districts of the South West Land
Division. Hot to very hot over much of the State away from the west coast and
away from the southern districts of the South West Land Division.

Forecast for Tuesday 31 December
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, inland
Gascoyne, and inland parts of central West. Possible showers over the northern
Goldfields and northern parts of Central Wheat Belt. Hot to very hot over much
of the State away from the southern coastal districts.

Forecast for Wednesday 1 January
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Pilbara, Interior, inland
Gascoyne, and northern Goldfields. Chance of a gusty thunderstorm with little
or no rainfall over inland parts of the South West Land Division. Windy across
central and southwestern parts of the state. Hot to very hot across much of the
state.
