Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A trough remains slow moving from central Pilbara to the South Interior, while
a broad area of low pressure extends over the Kimberley A ridge building to the
south brings fresh southwesterly winds to western Pilbara at times.
Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge extending near the south coast will slowly build over the
next few days. A weak cold front will brush past the south coast early today.
Meanwhile, a weak trough developing over inland South West Land Division and
the Gascoyne will deepen from Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 12 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley and Interior. Chance of a
thunderstorm with little or no rainfall over the far eastern Pilbara. Light
showers south of a line Harvey to Israelite Bay. Very hot over the Kimberley,
Pilbara, and northern Interior. Becoming warmer in the northern inland parts of
the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Wednesday 13 November
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Kimberley, northern and central
Interior, northern Goldfields, eastern and northern Gascoyne, and eastern
Pilbara. Possible shower about the south coast west of Israelite Bay. Very hot
over inland parts of the Kimberley, Pilbara, northern Gascoyne and northern
Interior. Warm to hot over northern and central parts of the South West Land
Division. Chance of morning fog over the southern coastal districts.
Forecast for Thursday 14 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Goldfields, eastern and
northern Gascoyne, inland Pilbara, eastern and central parts of the South West
Land Division. Possible showers over the South Coastal and southern parts of
South West district. Hot to very hot across the southwest Kimberley, Pilbara,
inland Gascoyne, northern and central parts of the South West Land Division.
Forecast for Friday 15 November
Showers and thunderstorms over the Kimberley, Interior, Goldfields, eastern and
northern Gascoyne, Pilbara and eastern parts of the South West Land Division.
Showers over southern parts of the South West Land Division. Cooler in the
southwest.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Tuesday.
