Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A low pressure trough extends from the Kimberley into the Pilbara as a high
moves across Bight waters. The western part of the trough over the Pilbara will
move east today allowing a new ridge to the west to move in over the weekend.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A low pressure trough inland from the west coast will move eastwards across the
State during today. A new ridge will develop near the south coast during the
weekend whilst a new trough develops down the west coast.

Forecast for the rest of Friday 25 October
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the Kimberley, northern North Interior,
Goldfields, western Eucla and far eastern parts of the South West Land
Division. Light showers developing over the South West and South Coastal
districts in the afternoon and evening. Windy at times over most parts of the
state. Hot to very hot over most parts of the state.

Forecast for Saturday 26 October
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the northwest Kimberley, Eucla,
southeast Goldfields and southern Interior. Morning light showers over the
South Coastal districts. Hot to very hot over the north of the state. Windy
over the southeast of the State.

Forecast for Sunday 27 October
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the northwest Kimberley and northeast
parts of the Interior. Hot to very hot over the north of the state. Windy over
the central and northern parts of the State, apart from the Kimberley.

Forecast for Monday 28 October
Afternoon showers and thunderstorms possible over the northwest Kimberley.
Chance of an afternoon shower over the southeast Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne and
far west Interior. Windy over the central and northern parts of the State,
apart from the Kimberley. Hot over the northern parts of the South West Land
Division.

The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm WST Friday.
