Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A weak trough extends from the Kimberley into the east Pilbara as a
strengthening ridge to the south brings southerly winds to the western Pilbara.
The ridge will move south during the week, allowing the trough to build back to
the Pilbara coast.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge extends over southern WA. A weak front will brush past
the southwest coast on Tuesday before the ridge then strengthens on Wednesday
and a high pressure centre moves into the Bight. A deepening trough will
develop near the west coast later Wednesday and Thursday morning, before moving
inland on Thursday afternoon and Friday.

Forecast for the rest of Tuesday 22 October
Light showers about coastal parts between Perth and Albany, extending to
southwest of a line Lancelin to Mount Barker during the morning before
contracting to the western south coast and clearing during the afternoon.
Chance of a shower or thunderstorm over the northern Kimberley and Interior,
with isolated showers also over the northeastern Goldfields and Eucla. Windy at
times over central and northwestern parts of the State. Very hot through the
Kimberley, east Pilbara and North Interior.

Forecast for Wednesday 23 October
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the central and west Interior, far
northeast Gascoyne and southeast Pilbara. Chance of an afternoon shower or
thunderstorm close to the Kimberley north coast. Chance of morning frost over
the western and southern Great Southern and adjacent South West district. Windy
at times over central and north parts of the State outside the Kimberley, and
becoming windy over the Eucla later in the day. Very hot through the Kimberley,
east Pilbara and North Interior. Becoming warmer through the west Pilbara,
Gascoyne, and far northern parts of the south West Land Division.

Forecast for Thursday 24 October
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the far north coast in the Kimberley,
west Interior, inland Gascoyne and inland Pilbara. Windy at times over central
and north parts of the State outside the Kimberley. Hot to very hot over most
parts of the state.

Forecast for Friday 25 October
Showers and thunderstorms possible over the north and east Kimberley, east
North Interior, Goldfields, southwest South Interior, Eucla and far eastern
parts of the South West Land Division. Showers developing over the South West
and South Coastal districts. Windy at times over most parts of the state. Hot
to very hot over most parts of the state.
