Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough over the western Kimberley is slowly extending to western
Pilbara as ridge over southern WA moves east and builds over central Australia.
The trough will move east across the Pilbara, ahead of a strong cold front on
Wednesday.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge near the south coast will move east as a trough develops
near the west coast later today. The trough will deepen on Tuesday and move
inland on Wednesday, ahead of a strong cold front. The cold front is expected
to sweep through the South West Land Division on Wednesday before moving east
to the Interior on Thursday, followed by a new ridge of high pressure along the
west coast.

Forecast for the rest of Monday 30 September
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Pilbara, northern and central
Interior, inland Gascoyne and far northern Goldfields, extending into the west
Kimberley during the afternoon and evening. Light showers southwest of a line
from Pinjarra to Bremer Bay. Chance of morning fog over the Great Southern,
inland parts of the South West and South Coastal District. Chance of morning
frost over Central Wheat Belt, Great Southern, inland parts of the South East
Coastal and southwest Goldfields. Windy through the northern and central parts
of the state.

Forecast for Tuesday 1 October
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over inland Pilbara, eastern Gascoyne, northern
and far western Goldfields, southwest Kimberley and Interior. Warmer throughout
the South West Land Division with possible showers and thunderstorms developing
during the afternoon and evening through inland and southern parts. Windy
through most parts of the state during the day.

Forecast for Wednesday 2 October
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields,
southwest Kimberley, Interior and South West Land Division. Windy through most
parts of the state, south of the Kimberley. Very windy and across the
southwest. Surf conditions will be hazardous for coastal activities about the
southwest coast.

Forecast for Thursday 3 October
Showers over the South West Land Division. Showers and chance of thunderstorms
over Goldfields, Eucla and Interior. Windy over southern parts of the state.
Cool over southern and central parts of the state. Surf conditions will be
hazardous for coastal activities about the southwest coast.
