Weather Situation – Northern Western Australia
A broad trough over the Pilbara is moving into the Kimberley, as a ridge of
high pressure develops over southern and central WA and brings a surge of fresh
southeasterly winds. The ridge will weaken by tomorrow and allow the Kimberley
trough to extend back into the Pilbara. The trough will move east across the
Pilbara, ahead of a cold front middle of next week.

Weather Situation – Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure ridge is becoming established over southern and central WA
during the weekend. The ridge will sink to the south coast today and weaken
tomorrow as a trough deepens near the west coast. The trough will move inland
middle of next week ahead of a cold front.

Forecast for the rest of Sunday 29 September
Light showers southwest of a line from Lancelin to Narrogin to Israelite Bay,
most likely in the morning. Showers and the chance of thunderstorms over inland
and northern Kimberley, and northern Interior. Possible showers in the inland
east Pilbara. Areas of morning frost through the inland South West Land
Division and adjacent southwest Goldfields. Windy through the northern
Gascoyne, Interior and Pilbara in the morning.

Forecast for Monday 30 September
Showers and gusty thunderstorms over the Pilbara, northern and central
Interior, inland Gascoyne and far northern Goldfields, extending into the west
Kimberley during the afternoon and evening. Light showers southwest of a line
from Harvey to Bremer Bay. Chance of morning fog over the Great Southern,
inland parts of the South West and South Coastal District. Windy through the
northern and central parts of the state.

Forecast for Tuesday 1 October
Showers and thunderstorms over inland Pilbara, central and eastern Gascoyne,
northern and central Goldfields, southwest Kimberley and Interior. Warmer
throughout the South West Land Division with possible showers and thunderstorms
developing during the afternoon through inland and southern parts. Windy
through most parts of the state.

Forecast for Wednesday 2 October
Showers and thunderstorms over the Pilbara, Gascoyne, Goldfields, southwest
Kimberley, Interior and South West Land Division. Windy through most parts of
the state.
